“Conduit” and “target” seem like a pretty nice way to describe something that he fought tooth and nail to carry out with apparently zero hesitation.
Now I’m sure that this little conversation that the FBI had with Rudy is documented, logged, and filed- and yet Rudy thinks that he can just dismiss this meeting. There’s that phrase: “And yet /he/she/they persisted”. Usually used when someone won’t backdown from a righteous position, and see their action as a noble cause. So what can we use to describe Rudy’s actions and words? Rudy is a lot of things but he’s not stupid, yes he may be lacking in judgement, but not stupid.
Not only did they WARN him but it sounds like they kept him apprised of the progress of the investigation and YET, even as late as last night, Rudy screams about HUNTER BIDEN and how JOE BIDEN is out to ‘get’ him.
Except they were neither. Their treacherous corruption couldn’t have been more willful. The Republican party was then and still is in a war against American democracy zero holds barred. The coup attempt proceeds before our eyes even with former guy hardly any longer in the picture.
How silly was I to have settled for Rudy’s comeuppance being his eventual disbarment. This turn of events is so much more satisfying.

This was my thought exactly. At this point I couldn’t care less about Rudy. Can we destroy RoJo with this? Destroy his political career at least, or even better, get him charged with a crime?
This is the time for the strategic retreat to the pre-positioned Deep State Conspiracy redoubt.
It is interesting when the habit of signaling the base with any-old-thing-because-they-are-eager-to-believe runs up against a standard that requires a more rigorous approximation of truth. It kind of works until it doesn’t and it’s a hard habit to break.
