The apex of the off-the-rails briefings arrived less than two weeks ago when Trump argued that one could be cured of COVID-19 by injecting themselves with disinfectant.

So he’s going to go with the full push to open economies and start threatening aid money to states with a modicum of sense? Or is this just him throwing a temper tantrum because his daily campaign rally substitutes stopped being fun? Hopefully just the latter, but this is Trump we’re talking about, so he’s probably going to try to kill a lot of people.
Jokes on him though. You can compel people to work by taking away unemployment insurance, but you can’t force people to risk their lives and those of their families to shop. You’re still going to have to bail out everyone.
