Report: WH Lawyers Have Tried To Convince Trump To Refrain From Axing Wray

And hasn’t Biden said he is not inclined to replace Wray?

Unfortunately, Wray won’t be among the first to know it. He’ll most likely read about via a tweet.

Trump fails to realize that whatever power he has to screw Biden and his family will last a little over a month, Biden then will have the same power for the next four years,

Yes, he has. However, if current occupier fires Wray there is zero chance of any confirmation by 20 Jan. I think it would maybe allow the country to move on with Mr. Biden setting the tone for the FBI to regain some credibility. Then again, the current occupier doesn’t understand that by firing Wray that means a win for Biden. So much winning.

From the article: " . . . Wray, who has infuriated Trump by debunking the President’s falsehoods about mass voter fraud and not opening an investigation into Hunter Biden before the elections . . ." From what I have read, the investigation began two years ago and has been ongoing, just not announced by either Biden or Justice. It appears that Trump is furious with Wray because he refused to publicly promote the investigation is such a way that Fox & Friends could pronounce him guilty. A win, but not one that Biden seems to understand, either.

And what is your reasoning behind: “…but not one that Biden seems to understand, either”?

Apparently Trump is now thinking of firing Barr’s replacement, Rosen, who if anything is even more of a loyalist than Barr, if he refuses to appoint special prosecutors to investigate the Bidens and the election “fraud” that pervades the farthest reaches of his ossified “brain” (really more of an oversized brain stem at this point).

All of this will, I hope, prove to be the grounds for cases that test the limits of the pardon power, and whether it applies to self-pardons, plenary pardons, and pardons of crimes not yet committed. I think that none should be allowed as they’re all de facto dictatorship enablers. Plus if he’s pardoned, he MUST testify in valid future legal proceedings and CANNOT claim immunity, and if he refuses, he can be prosecuted for that.

The only things that stand between Trump and a prison cell are prosecutorial discretion and the fact that he might well die before it happened. I’m ok with the latter.

So Trump is like an evil version of a white R&B singer? Blue eyed, no soul?

It’s pretty obvious to me that Trump’s plan in replacing his AG and (soon to be former) FBI chief would be to put someone in a position to launch investigations into Biden on Inauguration Day, before they can be sacked. They imagine that this would force Biden to fire these people, which the “Right” would bothsiderly point to as improper interference in an investigation. I sure hope Biden’s team is gaming out responses to crap like that, because its surely coming.
