It has occurred to me that he could fire Yovanovitch and Kent to deny them their pensions. Civil service regs may protect them but Trump is nasty and afraid.
Bolton has never been a diplomatic sort, so perhaps I’m reading too much into this. But I find his use of aggressive phrases with violent criminal undertones like “drug deal”, “cooking up”, and “hand grenade” interesting. They’re common terms in the American vernacular these days -readily understood by most American - especially after popular shows like Breaking Bad and The Sopranos. I wonder if that was his intent.
Bolton likes to come off as both erudite and tough-talking.
Quite often, he fails at both.
Dunno…nasty, vindictive and insane as he is, even his lizard brain has to realize that repetition of certain types of behavior makes you vulnerable to those hunting you.

What really cracks me up about all this is that it’s yet another example of Trump having no fucking clue how Washington works. He’s used to being able to bully people into silence with his big mouth and big money. In the business world, he can be an absolute horse’s ass to underlings and few consequences would ever follow. He could treat anyone how he pleased because it’s not like they could do anything about it but leave. It’s a whole new ballgame in DC. They can destroy you.
