President Donald Trump reportedly thinks his former National Security Advisor John Bolton is behind at least some of the leaks regarding the burgeoning Ukraine scandal.
The “best people” are at war in Trump’s “best brain”. Like a bad drug trip.

I’m thinking the never-Trump neocons who tried to make the hard swallow after the election may now represent a second front in the war on Trump. There have always been a few voices, and Bolton is certainly a dangerous kook, but he may provide the foothold needed to rally much stronger support. And while the enemy of my enemy is sometimes my friend, this might be the time to sit back and watch the Republican intramural collapse. Hopefully it gets so heated they just all stay home.

I thought Bolton’s appointment meant we were on the slippery slope to World War. While I am not yet confident I was wrong, it is also possible we are seeing a version of chapter two of The Hobbit, where Bolton, Trump and Pompeo are the three trolls who question Bilbo and then fight over what to do with him, allowing Bilbo to escape. But instead of Bilbo escaping, it is sentient life on the planet continuing.
And the best part is that the blow back from trying to get at Biden’s family connection with the Ukrainians may take down the Trump/Giuliani cabal of crooked grifters instead.

While his motives might not be entirely if at all honorable, I welcome Bolton’s harming Trump & Co. from the sidelines. Sometimes the enemy of your enemy, while not your friend, is your unwitting ally. Divide and conquer. Pit the corrupt ones against the crazy ones and save us all from further disaster. Both factions have been trying to normalize and get away with all manner of insanity, some of the self-dealing corrupt kind, other of the batshit nuke Canada kind. If the latter expose and harm the former and the former hold back the latter, so be it, as Dems work to unseat both.
