I think that Ds should investigate and find out the width and breadth of the hold schemes. One can assume at this point that all of them were/are for the personal benefit of Trump until it’s proven otherwise, 'cos otherwise, they wouldn’t be secret.

Trump is not interested on dirt on Warren, or Sanders. He wants to run against one of them. He and the people around him know that running against the American Jeremy Corbyn is a sure way to not just 4 but 8 more years.
Hopefully we are not as stupid and out of touch with what middle of the road voters want as the Labor Party. Whomever Trump attacks the most is who he fears… Trump is not playing three dimensional chess, he is playing tiddlywinks.

So, he’s a wily opponent who knows an easy candidate to run against, and at the same time, he’s none too bright.
Yes, let’s only run middle of the road candidates to appeal to the middle of the road electorate.
After all that’s what worked for us in '16. 
The polls all show that any of the top tier Ds could beat Trump right now. But if anybody could clench defeat from the jaws of victory, à la Hillary, it´d be Biden-the-macho-man-gaffe-machine.

Trump is mentally ill. He will attack what he feels threatened by. He lacks any self-control. This not in any way incompatible with his figuring out (with a lot of private poling) exactly who his threats are.
Corbyn’s run against Britan’s trump is a foretaste of what we would see if we end up with a “socialist” nominee.
And you are factually just wrong we “any of the to tier D’s could beat Trump”. The tipping state is WI right now, and I see little reason why that changes. Trump holds it, looses PA and MI, he is president for another 4 years.

Other recent polls (NYT/SurveyUSA) show the exact same thing… And this is the results BEFORE Trump and Koch drop $40M into attacks on Warren or Sanders (who have not been attacked with advertisements yet).
Look, I am no fan of Biden. Much rather have Klobacher or Booker or someone similar, but he polls 2-3% better, right at the tipping point, in WI, and wins, not looses.
Absent getting AZ or NC or FL to swing to the D’s, WI is the election.

Umm, one major difference. The UK is effectively now a multi-party country, and in many (most?) constituencies people have more than two choices. Third-parties in this country are not much beyond spoilers.
Don’t know why Labour had to commit suicide, but that’s a separate issue.

I´m not ¨wrong¨, I was referring to national polls. I know that Marquette has a good reputation, but basing a strategy on one poll for one state is foolish. As far as Klobuchar or Booker goes, they ain´t exactly setting the world on fire, despite their centrism.
My prediction is that you are gonna hafta suck it up and vote for a socialist, or quasi-socialist
