Sometime the day or evening prior, a fire broke out on a Russian nuclear submarine. As per usual, they kept it quiet for almost a day, but our sigint would have picked up traffic about it. Additionally, if they’re lying (I know, the russians never lie) and there was radiation vented due to the fire, our satellites would have picked that up and it would have been in hand that morning.
So with reports of a russian nuclear submarine having a fire with loss of life, status and condition unknown, and possibly a radiation leak, it’s no wonder that they would have called off a stupid photo op while they got more information on whether they had to worry about some impending attack, if the russians claimed that we had something to do with it.
Really, nothing to see here, it all makes perfect sense.
They are in India. I had a ‘great time’ (I was bored) stringing this ass jack along for a while and then informed him that he his call had been ‘connected to a Federal Agency’ while we were talking. He rightfully didn’t believe me and went ballistic on me. At that point, I went Kaiser Soze on him and suggested his entire family was at risk. I hung up, but he called back. I did use the ATT number block on my landline and his calls quickly ended. It was fun.
The FBI did shut some of these scammers down before.
I do not believe a word of this “cover story.” Perhaps the murder and potential murder of multiple alleged Informant-USA citizens by Iran that was in the news today had more to do with it?
So far just denials by “the great negotiator” who must have known people were seized.
This is simply too petty an excuse considering how things are blowing up abroad, in countless ways, for this administration.
It’s hard to tell, but so far it looks like he may not have been arrested and charged when the visit took place. So the tipoff would have been from the DEA, most likely, that they had a suspect under surveillance.
But… SS pre-clears all the main players in any encounter. As a high-ranking person there, he’d surely be on that list. How Pence could have already at least boarded AF2 (still don’t believe them that it was still on the ground, they’re just downplaying things) before they got the message that this guy was a no-go…
Wouldn’t want to tip him off. Of course, not that cancelling last second doesn’t risk tipping him off.
No argument with that. But the SS should have caught that way earlier in the process. The President and VP don’t just show up for visits, there’s a whole team there days prior, pre-clearing folks, security runs, the whole 9 yards.
That they only find out when he’s literally on the plane just doesn’t add up. This guy wasn’t some random, he was one of the center’s top folk.
