One problem for Fox is that, at first, their narrative reflected the truth: Biden had won. Looking at their ratings over time, one can make the case that only after they began to lose money did they “report” the Big Lie.
In everything I read about this I rarely, if ever, see mention of Jenna Ellis’ complicity and contributions to the lies and misinformation spread about Dominion and Smartmatic. Odd that she gets a pass on all this.
There’s entertainment
And then there’s entertainment.
Right, Rupert?
They probably can’t hit them, but they are aiming a cannon at these fools to watch them duck and scramble for cover.
It’s FoxNews.
So of course they were.
Every single goddam day.
Rudy’s gas attacks weren’t punishment enough?
Too bad Steve Susman died last year. He would have enjoyed the hell out of these trials.
That’s because the lying bastards working for the predecessor trashed their software’s reputation.
That’s extremely generous. I’m going to have to wait to see what results they get putting Powell, Pillow-guy, and America’s Ghoul-guy out onto the streets. IF they get that done, I’ll grant 'em “synergies”, “leverage”, “bandwidth”, “level up”, “touch base”, and, hell, all the buzzwords.
I think so too.
“Dominion’s Legal Team Expands Ranks As It Prepares For Possible Wave Of Fresh Lawsuits.”
“Fox’s Laundry Team Expands Ranks As It Prepares For Possible Wave Of Brown Trousers.”
Still think Trump’s confidence that irregularities would be found on close inspection is that the russkies had assured him that they were in the systems and had put enough votes on his side to ensure victory.
Then the Dems showed up overwhelmingly and at levels the hackers hadn’t projected (delicate balance when fucking with vote totals, can’t have it too landslide or you get caught).
And I agree with you. That’s one reason they were so shocked and insisted they couldn’t have lost.
Maybe what they end up with is as much money as these pissants have plus a full public admission that everything they said was part of the big fucking lie. Fox should also have to run a disclaimer in every show that nothing they report can be believed.
Still think we need to be fully paper, no more than a few thousand people per precinct, and thus be able to validate things better.
Even more advanced would be to get rid of secret ballots, so that voters could see that their vote counted as they intended.
That’s the purpose of their logo.
Condition #1
Fire Carlson, Hannity, and no more Trump interviews and we will knock it down to $650M.
Condition #2
No more lying, beyond the average of other media outlets, as judged by independent media watchdogs. https://libguides.sdsu.edu/c.php?g=447716&p=3080925
Condition #3
Anybody feel free to pile on…
From my perspective, the Dominion suit is clearly entertainment. Of the stock up on popcorn variety.
Wouldn’t want to miss a moment.
It’s a gray area. There’s a privilege states can provide so you can report on defamatory stuff said in an official proceeding, the idea being that it’s the public’s right to know what was said in that proceeding. I think one question is how careful FOX people were in making clear it was all poppycock. Mainstream outlets were careful to almost always say the poppycock was “baseless,” because they knew perfectly well there was no evidence for it and they had to avoid lending it credence. Without having ever watched more than snippets I’d bet that FOX danced much closer to the edge, especially in their yammering division, and they can’t get away with saying it’s “entertainment,” I don’t think that’ll fly. It’s hard to prove most parts of a libel case, or there’d be more of them. But it looks like Dominion thinks it has a shot. I’ll be in the stands with a beer and a hot dog rooting for them, at any rate.
