READ: Cruz, Cornyn Demand Trump Admin Keep Supporting TX Testing Sites | Talking Points Memo

Don’t you NOT believe what your Dear Orange Leader said?

AND

Didn’t both of you acquitted Trump and now you whine because he is making you both look bad?

Those preventable deaths due to Trump’s delay and denial of Covid are also on you Cruz and Cornyn… You both enabled Trump that allowed him to act with impunity and its coming back to haunt you! Blood is in your hands!

Meanwhile…Barr and Graham were denied veto power:

"The Senate Judiciary Committee blocked an effort by Chairman Lindsey Graham to give the attorney general the power to veto investigations of Justice Department lawyers by the inspector general,” Bloomberg reports. “The committee instead backed — over the objections of Graham and Attorney General William Barr — a bipartisan bill by Republican Senator Mike Lee of Utah that would empower the department’s inspector general to investigate such allegations on his own authority.”

Addendum:

Addendum2:

New forecast: 180,000 U.S. deaths of COVID-19 by October. But mask order can save 33,000.

Cornyn loses if Trump drops this funding. He may lose anyway.

Get a good grip on your Ayn Rand bootstraps and give 'em a good pull. As a card carrying member of the Grandiloquent Oligarchs and Plutocrats you should know that “Government is not the solution to [y]our problem, government is the problem.” Besides, I have it on good authority that public-private partnerships would counterbalance any decrease in testing due to the loss of federal support, so it’s time to put your trust in the invisible hand of the market to solve your difficulties.

A couple of RINOs, no?

Yet again. We may even see the ol’ JFK trope hauled out of mothballs.

There are humans in Texas, outside of these two, so I hope they’re successful. This pair can’t detect irony so I hope they die in place of others.

Rand accepted both Social Security and Medicare support in the end. Reality intruded upon all her ideological claptrap.

So, he’s taking care of it himself, you say?

Is there any other way?

Wait. Why do they want the Feds to keep testing? I thought testing was bad. I thought if you stopped testing the virus went away. Isn’t that what their Fearless Leader has been telling us? Why do Cornyn and Cruz want Texas to have more COVID-19? That’s the real question everyone should be asking them!

There’s some satisfaction, schadenfreude, even, in seeing these asshats have to walk a mile in the shoes all the governors caught in the first round of infections had to wear.
I am, by the way, in NYC.

Sign of the times. Barr thought he was invincible and is now finding out he is not. It will get worse.

TX governor Abbott is going to come down on the side of not just testing but not keeping the state open. He’s heard from the state’s major big cities, Dallas, Houston, Austin, et al all with Democratic mayors, and he has to will listen or else.

As millions of Texans have emerged from weeks of isolation and headed to shopping malls, movie theaters and beaches, the governor, faced with an alarming number of new cases, did an abrupt about-face this week and urged people to go back home.

He imposed restrictions on outdoor gatherings of more than 100 people and has cleared the way for local authorities to require face masks in businesses — after earlier opposing attempts by local officials to require everyone in their cities to wear masks in public.

COTTON on #DCStatehood: “Yes, Wyoming is smaller than Washington by population, but it has three times as many workers in mining, logging and construction, and ten times as many workers in manufacturing. In other words, Wyoming is a well-rounded working-class state.”

Maladmin spokesmen have an abundance of occasions on which to use and apply the tired abundance of caution but applied to their white male asses, no one else’s.

So you’re saying that Trump will shut down the government?

The dismissal of the Flynn case (trumPP appointee, one dubya appointee, one BHO appointee) is going to be heard by the full panel.

the full appeals court [11 judges if I’m not mistaken including Merrick Garland, hahaha] has the option of reviewing the matter, and Judge Sullivan did not immediately dismiss the case in response to the ruling. Instead, he suspended deadlines for further briefs and a July 16 hearing in his review, suggesting he was studying his options or waiting to see what the broader group of judges might do.
