It’s to the bunker deep under the White House that Trump will flee when he realizes that he’s lost the election, that his last dodges (and calls to his armed MAGA supporters) appear to be failing, and that he’s going to be forcibly evicted at high noon on January 20, 2021.

Will the Secret Service and US marshals have to shoot their way into the presidential bunker, or will he be starved out? Or perhaps go the way of Hitler in his Fuehrerbunker under the Berlin Reichskanzlerei?

While on the one hand I applaud the efforts of the protestors that made this possible. On the other hand, this is the President of the United States, do we want him in danger for his life? What precedent does this set for the future?

I’m sorry but this is unacceptable, the Secret Service failed to maintain a buffer zone. It never should have gotten to this point, regardless of who is president.

In general, I’m inclined to agree, @plebeian, but here I think it depends on whether Trump was actually “in danger for his life.”

They could easily lure him out with a cheeseburger and fries. He is a coward and will run as far and as fast as possible on 20 Jan or before. If he has any functional brains left, he will resign and get Pence to pardon him and bug out after he loses the election.
