A day after police raided the homes of opposition leaders, thousands of people have taken to the streets of Moscow to protest against president Vladimir Putin’s rule. The leaders were summoned in for questioning on Tuesday. Today’s rally is the first since Putin passed a new law imposing heavy fines on those who participate in unsanctioned demonstrations.
