That quote stood out to me also. Whoever thought for a moment that Trump is a “responsible person”? He will be owned by the creeps who are swarming around him right now, and the Religious Zealots will not stop until they have cowed this Congress into a nationwide ban on abortion of any kind, and this orange puppet will sign it.

The most chilling thing coming out of the “transition team” right now is a proposal to form a “Board” of retired military officers (one presumes Flynn would chair) to “assess serving officers for competency” This is nothing but a blatant threat to purge the military of any officer who does not kiss Donnie’s fatass. No President has ever proposed such a fascistic thing in our entire history. This has the fingerprints of this Hegseth asshole all over it…or maybe Bannon or Miller. That along with Trump’s demand that the Senate allow him to appoint Cabinet heads without any Senate oversight or consent is simply terrifying.
And the GD idiots who voted for this bunch of Fascists have NO idea what is coming down, because Fauxnooz will never tell them! Fuck them all!

The gent who I saw killed very close to me was the hotel manager where I had spent the night. Not Russian but Czech. He was shot dead by a young Russian sitting on the turret of his tank. I still can see three bullets ripping thru his torso and smashing into the wall behind us. He had made an open handed gesture and shouted something I did not understand. And then he was shot. The soldier got in his tank because random people were jamming stuff in the tread of his tank. They fired their main cannon (blank charge) to scare people away. That blast ruined my hearing ever since. This all happened in 1968 when the Russians invaded to put an end to the “Czech spring” movement. They wanted to be free of the “Soviet Union” domination of eastern Europe
