This is the CORE platform of the GOP. We do ourselves a disservice by not recognizing this is what’s driving Republican policy. We need to stop giving religious cover to Republicans for their attacks on women’s rights and birth control. For many, its not based on some moral conviction, but on stopping the replacement. Just as their attacks on immigration is based on “replacement theory”.

From what I understand, many “Legacy” Americans have never been tolerant or welcoming of immigrants. It’s just that now many who were born here and check white on their demographic forms and believe themselves to be “legacy” are of Irish, German, Swedish, Italian, Polish, or any other white-ish ancestry. We’re starting to see it with some people from Spanish speaking countries - Cubans, Venezuelans, Puerto Ricans etc who are second or third generation acting as if there is nothing more dangerous than a brown immigrant from South America (Cruz and Rubio come to mind as poster boys)
