People who needed hydroxychloroquinine to treat conditions from which they actually suffer were unable to obtain it after Trump offered it as a miracle cure (since abandoned).
I need bleach to operate the treatment system for my well water, and it took me a month to find some after this started. Now I’m going to have non-potable water coming from the taps because all the bleach will have been bought by idiots who believe the crackpot-in-chief.

Look, I know this story’s prevalence today seems irritating. Yet what the President said last night WILL lead to deaths this week from “self-medication.” We can’t lose sight of that.
This is going to happen. Everything about it must be documented.
But even more, there is an imperative for people to say as loudly as possible that this is wrong. If the White House press corps will not do it the moment he says it, the rest of us must pick up their slack.
Because, saying, right now, as loudly as we can, the President is wrong will reduce the number of people who will die next week because they poisoned themselves at his recommendation.

Last night I thought of something similar – but I then saw on Twitter this morning – someone suggesting making a 10-inch incision in your chest, pulling your lungs out, and setting them in the sun for a while.
Why not? It sure couldn’t hurt.
I haven’t heard his name spoken again since Mark Meadows became Chief of Staff last month and apparently, at the start, had cried 2 times in meetings. I wonder how many times he has cried since. Too bad. You broke it. You bought it.

Of course, what Trump said yesterday was ludicrous and potentially fatal. But if that is what it took to push folks “over the edge” and realize, have their eyes opened, to the fact that this man is a very, very silly, and dangerous person and not fit to be President, where have they been for the past 5 years?

That was a fascinating reaction. She looked away from him and blinked steadily, trying not to visibly shudder or give any sign of either agreement, which would have deadly consequences, or disagreement, which would get her sacked. This is exactly the sort of thing a scared child does when faced with a violent and irrational parent who has been emotionally abusing her.
