Has any new media done interviews with extant former presidents to ask them if they retained their security clearances and if and under what circumstances they reviewed classified documents post-tenure. It would make a nice chart.

Typically they’ll give ex-president’s security briefings on a semi-regular basis at the request of the ex-president and approval of the current president. If a current president seeks advice from a former president about a foreign situation they dealt with, it’s helpful for the former president to be up to speed on the current information.
There are two parts to accessing classified information, security clearance and need to know. You can leave the military and still have a Top Secret security clearance, but that doesn’t give you the right to walk into a military basis and start rifling through their TS documents.
Joe Biden decided not to extend the courtesy of security briefings to TFG, because TFG can’t be trusted.
