I’m not surprised by this, no one should be surprised by this. Most people lie to themselves all the time, but they only have themselves to concoct the justification. It’s more shocking when you find out that PompousAss didn’t/doesn’t have the intellect to come up with a reason(s) all on his own.
The latter can’t be accomplished without the former being done. If we don’t prosecute them for their crimes, they will continue to hinder our ability to rebuild the country so that they can regain power.

I’m sure. When a deal goes down someone in the private sector makes a bunch of money. They reward the person in the public sector that set the deal up with some of that money in the form of a campaign donation.
