Secretary of State Mike Pompeo signaled on Tuesday that he would be open to investigating President Donald Trump’s bogus conspiracy theory that Ukraine, not Russia, interfered in the 2016 elections, even though that claim has been thoroughly debunked.

Even when that information comes directly from Putin and the Kremlin to serve Putin’s purposes and distract from Russia’s own proven attacks on our elections. Especially then, because we’ve got to keep the Russians happy, Pompeo added.

Too few people grasp how much Israel interferes in and influences our elections. Not to put to fine a point on it, but it’s been widely acknowledged that unless a POTUS candidate pledges to do the bidding of AIPAC, he/she has no chance of being elected. Netanyahu was allowed to address a joint session of Congress. Can anyone imagine allowing Macron or Putin or any other world leader to stand before Congress to give a speech?

There’s a wide gap between influence and interference. While Israel does try to make its case for those who will support it, that’s legitimate. If it does into skulduggery, like the Russians, that’s a whole different kettle of fish.
