No, I was confused about it as well.
This morning’s presser by Hegseth was the worst kind of propaganda and exploitation.
(Overlord?)
The rest of the presser was just as vile and disgusting. At one point, a reporter asked Caine if he was pushing propaganda and Hegseth had to jump in to save him.
And everyone who paid any attention at all new something was going down because the country has succumbed to collective telepathy?
ETA: Hegseth is a tool who’s unworthy of being given the time of day.
In case Dems want to think about how we come off to the electorate, shape our messaging without compromising our ideals, and steal soft R support…this should be of interest. But I realize that isn’t the way we roll, usually.
I actually stay out of Middle East politics…I don’t know anything about the details. But as someone who can see how D messaging has no discipline and refuses to optimize it’s appeal…this looks like easy wins and low-hanging fruit. Doesn’t cost us anything.
DeSantis is more than welcome to any cop who would take up that offer.
The proposal would improve the police forces in both places.
At least he recognizes that the Democratic primary winner is the odds on favorite to win the general election. Progress in understanding reality?
No, I’m not, so instead of being truthful, I’ll bluster ridiculously and denigrate you instead.
It’s so secret that we can’t show you. You have to take our word, even though we all lie like cheap mattresses.
wants to see it.
I read that the expended roughly half of the available stock of those deep penetrator munitions. Not a whole more boom of that flavor to be had.
That right there. Just ask the Duke. Made a movie about it, well at least included it, Operation Pacific. Dropping them from the tower to see if they would explode.
Interesting aside, my grandfather worked in a couple of Defense jobs in the Chicago area during WWII. First, in the Ford assembly plant working on military vehicles and later with the gyroscopes for torpedo guidance at Sperry Gyroscope Company

Literally any other military operation was more complex and secretive.
"Yes, the Iranian regime is evil. It is an oppressive regime that levels unprovoked attacks against other nations over ideological differences, grabs people off the streets and throws them into prison without due process, claims control over womens’ bodies and personal autonomy, demands obsequious fawning from the media… hell, if their secret police wore masks and their religious maniacs were less honest about hating Israel, they’d be the Trump Administration.
That doesn’t mean two wrongs suddenly make a right. Nor does might make right. You hate evil? Me too. That’s why I don’t want us acting like them. Do you?"
I dunno, seems pretty easy to me.
I made it painfully clear I was not picking nits over Middle East politics…but only pointing out how this gets messaged. If messaging better is “us acting like them” (because I can’t tell what or who you are talking about. Us is Dems or U.S.? Them is Rs or Iranians?) I will take it every day. Again, painfully clear that this was about messaging and shaping how we appeal to Independents, soft Rs, winnable votes.
Man, I dunno, it’s just an anecdote, but I had a high school pal named Mike Eisermann. I assumed wrongly that he was Jewish. He was a good Catholic boy.
Oh boy. That dataset will never fall into the wrong hands or get misused. /s

distinctive Jewish surnames
Our elderly Jewish lady across the street that walks dogs with us has a name (not going to mention it), that sounds very British Isles. Yeah. This is some dubious political “research”.
“No new browns. Period.”
