By a wide margin, American voters oppose lawmakers signing a pledge not to raise taxes on the wealthy, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released Thursday. By 85 percent to 10 percent, voters say it’s a bad idea to “sign a pledge to an anti-tax group to never raise taxes on corporations or the wealthy.” Republicans oppose doing so by a similar margin of 77 percent to 15 percent.
