PHOTOS: Airline Travelers Encounter Armed ICE Agents at Airports Across the Country

Airline travelers across the country were greeted with the sight of armed Department of Homeland Security and ICE agents on Monday. President Trump ordered the officers to be dispatched to at least 13 airports in what he claimed is an effort to ease long security lines caused by the ongoing shutdown of DHS.  What those…

I don’t see any name tags… But at least the are not masked (yet).

Gotta love that ICE was at LaGuardia after last night’s crash with fatalities closed the airport until midday.

It’s infuriating to see some of them smirking at the scene in these photos.

This is a trial run for Trump’s violent, masked and lawless paramilitary thugs to invade polling places in November.

So we’re paying guys to stand around and smirk? Welcome to Trumplandia.

The photo of them clogging up an elevator, which is normally used by families with strollers, the disabled (ask me HIK) , and the elderly . . . I’m overcome by their sheer manly-man macho, as they hide their faces from the camera.

If so, it’s at a notional, miniature scale. From 13 airports to thousands of polling places implies a massive scale up. Also, they will need to stop standing around in huddles facing inward to protect their fragile identities if they want to project terror. And the masks are gone by Trump’s order. Now we can see what a bunch of dillweeds they really are.

They have six more months to figure it out.

Unemployment is about to rise significantly so they will be able to hire all they need.

I’m glad to see you are keeping the faith.

This post does not refer to the violent incident at San Francisco International airport.

New details emerge on ICE incident at SFO captured in viral videos

Local officials on Monday said a high-profile struggle between a woman and two federal immigration agents at San Francisco International Airport on Sunday was not the result of an arrest at the airport, and that the agents had been transporting the woman and child on an outbound flight when the commotion began…

SFO is one of about 20 U.S. airports that use private contractors, rather than federal TSA employees, to staff security checkpoints. Because those screeners are privately employed and funded, they continue to be paid during the ongoing partial government shutdown, which helps shutdown SFO avoid the staffing shortages seen elsewhere.

How are the thugs “helping security” by hanging out in groups and not obviously doing anything to direct traffic or answer questions?

Clearly for show only.

Lots of guts hanging out over the belt.

What organized law enforcement agency doesn’t have uniforms?
It’s only the cosplay* tactical vests that indicate they are officers. One guy is dressed like Where’s Waldo.
There is a reason that professional organizations require uniforms. They foster unity and discipline. Traits that I.C.E seems to be lacking.

*Apologies to real cosplayers who put actual effort into their costumes and appearance, as opposed to these guys (why is it all guys) who look like they just came back from Spirit Halloween

It’s great that these hapless, worthless schlubs are on full display for tens of thousands of weary, irritated travelers. Here’s hoping they all keep this colossal waste of our money in mind this November.

I was at SFO on the 19th and didn’t see any ICE.

It took about 5 min, to go through the pre-check line, although I had a weird experience going through the security line. The scanner tagged my chocolate protein powder as an explosive - for real. They sent for the EOD guy with his fancy scanner. The scanner said the powder in the Ziplock was baby formula powder. Close, I guess? They were all very nice, especially the EOD guy, but it probably helps that I’m a little old lady with a knee replacement.
