The comparison between the Republican field and President Barack Obama is improving Democrats’ impression of him, according to new Pew data. A poll from the research organization shows that after two months of the GOP primary process, 49 percent of Democrats view President Obama more positively, 46 see him the same, and four percent have a worse impression of him. “In contrast, there has been virtually no change in Republicans’ views of the GOP field during this period,” Pew wrote. “Just 26% of Republicans say their impression of the GOP field has improved as they have learned more about the candidates. That is largely unchanged from December (30%).”
