“My role in this is to point out the differences in what their agenda is and what our agenda is,”
So my choice is the Democrats’ radical, socialist agenda or the Republicans’ radical, authoritarian agenda. Scandinavian countries, Canada, New Zealand vs. North Korea, Syria, Saudi Arabia. Tough choice.
There is no runoff for a competitive Senate election.
There is a runoff for the other Georgia Senate seat, because it is a special election.
If Warnock can get over 50%, he won’t have to face Collins on January 5.
(Loeffler is now trailing Collins by a couple of points, with both in the low 20% range to Warnock’s mid 40% range.)
Ms. Harris should confront this man in public and demand an apology. He can’t apologize because that’s anathema to a Republican, therefore he will have to own his own racism. I am in favor of making the Republicans put down their dog whistles because I have greater faith in America’s morality than in the Republican party’s morality.
Risk pools that don’t work. Affordable for health insurance companies means going back for them to pick and choose their insurees.
As for allowing associations that another way of saying people can buy insurance across state lines.
God I hate these people, with their unoriginal ideas, their gobblygook speak, and their records of not giving a crap about helping voters.
A race to the bottom, where every health insurer reincorporates in the state with the lowest requirements and least regulation a la bank credit cards after the Supreme Court neutered state usury laws.
That law is in place because it benefits rural voters. In the runoffs there is a big dip in participation in the urban areas. That is why although Perdue is trailing in the polls now his seat is considered lean-R, because is unlikely that Ossoff gets 50%+1. And in the runoff, there is no contest, republicans win those always.
Apparently the GOP have been in the dark hole so long that they don’t know when to stop digging. That is what that political group has devolved into…moles and hole diggers.
Perdue was the CEO of Rebok and Dollar General. He knew exactly what he was doing and it’s exactly what racist politicians do. You might call it a family tradition. It plays well in the Trump family too.
This republican race to the bottom has been working well for them. They see no need to change - even though it didn’t seem to work so well in 2018. I guess they didn’t recognize the shift. They’ve doubled-down in response!
All indications to date show an unprecedented surge in early voting of all types - and the majority are Democrats. Let these assholes keep playing to trump’s base. They’re in for a rude awakening November 3.
This post, and many articles, fails to mention more fully the egregious way Perdue mocked Harris’ name.
A fuller quote:
“But the most insidious thing that Chuck Schumer and Joe Biden are trying to perpetrate — and Bernie and others with them — and Kah-MAH-la, KAH-mah-la, Kah-MAH-la, Kamala-mala-mala, I don’t know, whatever,” he said, to the sound of laughter from the audience.
