Pence Said On Fox News He Won’t Endorse Trump — But You Wouldn’t Know That From Watching Fox News

Is this a snow leopard? Looks like but I can never be sure. ANYWAY I was watching a show on the Bronx Zoo today and there was a baby snow leopard born.

BUT there was only one kit in the litter and SHE was eating for three! (Generally TWO but sometimes THREE but rarely ONE, got that?) So she was like a baby giant and she could not walk because she was too fat for her hind legs so she had ‘swimmers’ waddle’ (I hope you know what that is so they put her in toggles and walked her around holding her up with a harness. They showed after a YEAR of therapy she could walk. Very exciting. And she and her mama were so lovey dovey it made me glad.

Better than the news.

Pence has always been a “useful idiot”
… right now, and for how ever long it may last, he is our “useful idiot”
… but do not expect his logic or reasoning or “principles” to remain resolute - because he is also capable of being a calous duplicitous opportunist…

Pence would find it very very challenging to demonstrate that he has a clear & concise understanding of the difference between “forgiving” and “condoning” .

There is a saying -
“Forgive the sinner - but not the sin”
Pence make a perfunctory pronouncement of “forgiving” yet is still so entangled in the manipulation that surrounded the roots of the transgressions - that he is incapable of articulating or criticizing “the sin”

Even the cat looks dizzy and nauseated by Pence’s newest spineless mush.

I’ve read someone I respect, maybe it was Rachel Maddow, say that this is a big deal, but meh.

Unless Pence says he believes Trump is unChristian, that his coopting of the evangelical movement is a cynical fraud, that he believes that Trump is a traitor who has sold out America to Putin and that he is endorsing Biden
it doesn’t mean shit and won’t have any influence.

I think that he always knew. It’s just that he finally acknowledged it.

It’s not like the idiot tfg can make use of a useful fool.

At college, there was almost a cult of personality surrounding the Dean. The Trustees, benefactors, etc, were positively worshipful.

My difficult mother, to her everlasting credit, bluntly told me, “Dave, he never stopped talking, it was always about him and he never once asked for anyone else’s opinion. About anything.”

The first month at school, I saw graffiti about the Dean–all over campus, always the same four words: “Leon is a wanker” A friend told me he was with a handful of students, walking with the Dean, when they saw the graffiti. The Dean asked them in all innocence–what is a wanker? I do not remember what they told him, but there was still an important lesson to be learned.

Everybody knows what a wanker is, but if you are the wanker, you’ll never have a clue.

And that is the kindest thing I can say about our former VP.

If there’s a more effete Christian nationalist than Mike Johnson, it’s Mike Pence.

Here I sit. Anxiously awaiting the morning memo which will surely report that Aileen Cannon is ordering Jack Smith to pay Donald Trump’s $456 million bond.

Another build up of Pence’s refusal, as in implicitly more of the Pence-as-hero nonsense. Pence’s ostensible reason is from the right of Trump — debt, China/TikTok and abortion (Christianity) — and noticeably doesn’t mention anything related to Jan 6 or Trump’s statements about how he’d try to rule. From the standpoint of how much effect Pence actually has, Fox in its way may have gotten things right in only giving the story a few minutes, vs. CNN which gave over an hour. In that sense, the complaint against Fox comes across as Democratic whining.

Okay, I remember my 10 years of Sunday School and 2 years of Confirmation Classes quite well and the sequence is quite clear- forgiveness must be preceded by acknowledge of ones sin, by repentance and by the request for forgiveness.

If the sinner insists on retaining ill-gotten gains and on the righteousness of his actions ( I believe ‘perfect’ was the word he used), forgiveness is not a requirement but a travesty.

“Forgive them, for they know not what they do?” What if they know exactly what they are doing, and are doing it to save their own skin?

I’ve got a better prayer for our clueless ex-VP: “Get Thee behind me, Satan.”
