When I watched Contagion some years ago, I recall thinking they overdid the political side silliness slightly.

Better question is whether coronavirus has been tested for Trump?

He’s still praying. Just like he did about the needle exchange here in Indiana.

The only test that Trump has had recently is the Wassermann test, and they are not about to release those results.

Was Mother’s answer to the question of whether Agent Orange has been tested for coronavirus a Freudian slip. He said he ‘honestly doesn’t know the answer’ … I think the word honestly is a tell that he may actually be telling the truth, and that when he doesn’t preface answers with ‘honestly’, we can assume he’s lying (until he catches on, and uses ‘honestly’ more often)

This is almost comical, if it wasn’t so sad. I think we know from the countries that are having success in dealing with coronavirus, e.g. South Korea, Norway, where we have the protocols in place. All this is catch-up from the Americans, which seem to be 4-6 weeks late off the blocks. Identification, for example, was something Finland was doing routinely by mid-January. Readiness for a wave of severe cases, i.e. preventing the risk that hospitals are swamped by just a dozen severe or critical cases, was the next issue. Indeed, this was precisely what caused the national government intervention in Hubei. What we don’t yet have, are effective antivirals, repurposed existing medicines or vaccines. That is the tip of the spear research-wise. So to review, US still doesn’t have adequate testing and therefore remains blind to what is going on in wild. The US still doesn’t have hospital capacity, particularly ICU beds, for patients that could be taking up space for even several weeks, so we could see a collapse as capacity is exceeded as we are seeing in Italy right now. Moreover, we don’t even have standardized intake instructions, so sick people can still wander in and make things worse. Imagine if the US response to Pearl Harbor had been this ad hoc and disorganized.

Shakespeare is asking: “To be or not to be? That is the question.” We are all asking.

How about the MMPI?

Surely Trump has been tested for illnesses many times, but usually it’s sexually transmitted ones.
