Typical behavior for Vice President Lickspittle. (hat tip to George Will…)

One more doofus who was too stupid to realize that releasing the crime is worse than the coverup.

Mother Pence is already measuring for new drapes in the Oh-So-White House…

Trump. Barr. Pence. Hmmm, who throws who under the bus first? Barr is the smartest. Trump is the most petty. Pence is the most… Pencey?

Fixed.

Release the “server” for all the corruption from this administration. These are the Nixon tapes…

I’d love to know who did argue for the release. I’m guessing the legal team (WH counsel, not Rudy) and/or others who recognize a smoking gun when they see one, and see the futility of further stonewalling. They’ve throw in the towel, and now have to figure out how they will defend the indefensible.

For a conversation in which the President apparently “did nothing wrong!” a whoooooooooole lot of people went to a lot of effort to hide details of it

Also, of course Pence didn’t want this all to come out. Every time he has to tell a lie a man in a black latex mask has to hit him with a switch as “punishment”

Sure, I’ll bite: Rudy is thrown first, then Mulvaney just for fun, then Pence, then Barr.

Barr argued for it. He’s not stupid. He’s now counting on the cowardice of the Senate and the stupidity of the public. Again, he’s not stupid.

Two observations:

  1. @nydan516–good point. He probably has incriminating evidence for all of his lackeys in there as well, so that he can keep them in line.
  2. He will use this story to throw Pence under the bus (“It’s obvious that Pence was behind it all–he counseled me not to release!”)

Kelly Ann needs to be in line somewhere there. Just because she’s Kelly Ann.

In troubling times like these, one has to ask:

What Would Putin Do?

Indeed and Rudy seems to know this is and planning to take the State Dept with him. Mulvaney has kept his head down so far in this. I bet Barr is smart enough to turn on Trump before he gets tossed under though.

fretting about the precedent it would set.

Yeah, right. He was worried about the disclosure of his own criminal behavior.

ETA: this whole situation is absolutely dripping with consciousness of guilt from everyone involved.

Great throw Pence under the bus. We can get President Pelosi. She can name Hillary as VP. Pelosi can then resign and bam President Hillary Clinton.
