I’m all for that scenario however, I’d prefer that he loses by a large margin and has to resort to his “plan B”, ie… election was rigged, I’m not leaving and federal authorities perp walk him crying to the car banging his head on the top of the door.
Books will be written about the masterful job by Pelosi and Schiff in handling this.
Waiting and waiting, to the point of putting her own supporters on edge, for just the right moment to strike was a bold stroke of genius. Then appointing Schiff as the lead inquisitor was equally brilliant, as was their management of the witnesses going from the peripherally involved towards the center, systematically demolishing every Republican excuse in the process. Also, going from closed door to open testimony. I don’t know that I would have changed a thing in retrospect. Just brilliant execution.
This is what I’d love to see, though my more measured self understands that the country would be even more divided if this happened. Unfortunately, the only thing you can trust about Trump is that he will absolutely screw anything up if it is at all possible.
I believe the word you’re searching for to describe Trump, is “megalomaniac.”
