House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Friday evening that she reached an agreement with the Trump administration on a package of legislative measures that would address the coronavirus outbreak.
I hope she said “the Bill is the Bill and that the only thing that can be added to it is your signature”
Wait. So he was lying? Inconceivable!
Pelosi likely doesn’t have an agreement yet.
But she’s playing high-stakes poker. Trump and the GOP are in a no-win situation where they either:

The “buck doesn’t stop” with Trump or Pence or anyone in the administration or McConnell or any of the enabling Repubs, so I guess it has to stop with Nancy Pelosi. So be it!
Its probably for the best that McConnell was left out of the negotiations not to insert poison pills in it and foul it up.
Yet whenever he runs for re-election he always runs ads with miners and nuclear workers praising him and his work having their health insurance and pensions protected.

She’s playing both sides against the middle. She has a tentative agreement with Mnuchin and either he represents Trump or not. Either way Mnuchin gets thrown under the bus. I love symmetry.
Nancy Pelosi’s intelligence, strength, dignity, and most of all her compassion are qualities this country desperately needs right now.
Trump has to approve the deal in a tweet. Otherwise, no deal?

Be kinda fun if the jackass tweets out a contradiction of Madame Speaker’s announcement and watches as the stock futures instantly turn south and go straight down the toilet he’s sitting on. Because, you know, Wall Street loves him.

I can’t decide if I like the barrel she’s got him over is big enough to never hear from him again or small enough that his ass gets stuck in it and we can laugh at him.

Imagine how bad things would be if the Republicans still held the House…they would have passed some nonsense bill that did nothing for the people who are really going to be hurt by this, or they would still be arguing that it wasn’t a real thing, just the flu and people would get over it. And, the Democrats are giving Trump and the Republicans a lifeline…this will help the treatment and recovery so that it looks like the government actually did something. It takes real leadership to help the nation despite the fact that it will help your political opponents…just one more reason why we should put the Democrats back in charge. I’m sure Trump will claim it was all him, hopefully people remember how poorly he and his administration performed, and how they wasted at least a month preparing a response.
Well, what are the chances he makes the House wait until the Monday to give the go ahead. He’s had enough time to mull this over.
