It’s a dirty game, this political thing, and Joe had better be prepared. He has a past (as do most of the older people who are running) and the other candidates are going to capitalize on it. But I’m sticking to my mantra. I’m voting blue no matter who.

A lawyer always has to operate in the best interests of their client. You can take other factors into account, and benefit others, but in the end you must do what you think is best for your client (and that includes people who come in for a free consultation). If Dowd thought that Parnas not rolling on Trump was the best thing for Parnas, then that was the right advice…it sounds like Dowd was giving advice to help Trump though, and that’s not right. Unless Dowd was telling Parnas that Trump would pardon him if he kept quiet, which would be in the best interest of his client…but that would be illegal, so again Dowd would be in serious trouble.
Considering how they abuse the law, I don’t think any of these people are worried about disbarment.

I didn’t watch much of it, but I did watch a bit where Parnas said he was working for Rudy, and the lawyer almost interrupted Parnas at that point. Not sure why that little bit was critical, maybe making that statement could be construed as some kind of slander, though the evidence is there to back it up. I’m sure that the lawyer did cut some things off that didn’t make it to air…it is unusual to see a lawyer sitting there though, normally they are behind the camera freaking out as their client goes off script.
