Parnas Texts Expose Ukrainian Prosecutor’s Role In Impeachment Scandal | Talking Points Memo

President Donald Trump’s impeachment may all boil down to the crazed ambitions of one man.

But it’s not necessarily those of the President himself, nor those of his attorney Rudy Giuliani.

Rosemont Seneca Bohai manufactures infant clothing in Malaysia, using child labor and indentured field mice.

Just sayin’…

PASS IT ON.

How about noting that Lutsenko said publicly later that there was no evidence of wrongdoing by the Bidens?

Lutsenko responded that he has copies of payments Burisma made to the investment firm co-founded by Biden’s son Hunter.

The following month, Yovanovitch [was removed from her post ]at Giuliani’s urging. Lutsenko later said publicly that he found no evidence of wrongdoing under Ukrainian law by Hunter or Joe Biden.

The check bounced.

“My Zlochevsky case is moving along successfully. There’s evidence about transfers to B,” Lutsenko wrote in one March 26 message to Parnas, apparently referring to Burisma CEO Mykola Zlochevsky and the Bidens. “And yet you can’t even get rid of one fool.”

“She’s not a simple fool,” Parnas replied.

“Will no one rid me of this turbulent ambassador?”

I mean, that has been pretty clear for some time.

But now it’s crystal.

The Rump’s best defense against the charge of bribing Ukrainians is that he took bribes from them.

Somebody needs to print out a huge colored chart with a timeline and arrows and quotes of texts & emails and airline tickets and money transfers…and plunk it down behind the senate podium right where the cameras will see it.

READ THE TRANSCRIPT!

Zelensky: “I also plan to surround myself with great people and in addition to that investigation, I guarantee as the President of Ukraine that all the investigations will be done openly and candidly. That I can assure you.”

Trump: “Good because I heard you had a prosecutor who was very good and he was shut down and that’s really unfair. A lot of people are talking about that, the way they shut your very good prosecutor down and you had some very bad people involved. Mr. Giuliani is a highly respected man. He was the mayor of New York City, a great mayor, and I would like him to call you. I will ask him to call you along with the Attorney General. Rudy very much knows what’s happening and he is a very capable guy. If you could speak to him that would be great. The former ambassador from the United States, the woman, was bad news and the people she was dealing with in the Ukraine were bad news so I just want to let you know that.”

I don’t want to hear from Parnas until he’s under oath in front of either House or the Senate committees. Under. Oath.

He can say anything anywhere else, but the only place that counts is what he’s willing to say, knowing that the spectre of incarceration if caught lying is front and center.

Under. Oath.

Appreciate Rachel’s get, but means nothing to me unless it’s under oath.

His tweets are official government policy. Giuliani says so.

Glad its Maddow doing the interviewing.

This Parnas release is a pretty big bombshell, there’s lots of stuff in there that confirms the entire plot, and the actions on the Ukrainian side are really shocking. All along we have been thinking that they were just victims to Trump and Giuliani, but here we see inside dealing by one guy meant to increase his power in the nation.

And, you just know there is still more to this, every single time we get new information it confirms what we know and adds a new detail (or many). Sending the impeachment to the Senate on the same day this was released is, I think, a message from the Democrats to the Republicans, who must know this will continue to happen for the rest of the year. Whether they get the message is still to be seen, but I highly doubt they will change course and have a fair trial.

I am too, but given everything that’s happened in the last three years, this is just too spectacular to be real. I’m horrifically skeptical and, even with the tweets/whatsapp stuff, I am just having a hard time thinking this is what will take Trump down.

We’ve just never seen anything like this. As someone else noted earlier, how did this stuff evade the FBI and SDNY and no one’s even been questioned on the threats against the Ambassador until this all surfaced? It can’t have been a secret she was in danger when they got her out of there that quickly.

I’d like to offer a point of view on this from a guy that didn’t grow up in America but damn sure is an American. Parnas, Lutsenko and all are NOT Americans. They are Ukrainians and they are fucking big time with America. You read above about a two bit Ukrainian punk of a prosecutor that could’nt survive corrupt in the corruption capitol of the world. Yet he jacked with and participated in the destruction of an honorable woman that served America for more than 3 decades. Just who the hell is the Eastern Europe maggot to do such a thing? And that clown Zelensky…he’s a piece of work. He was an improbable candidate and a long shot but won with a commanding margin which gives him a some serious political capitol. He’s not invested a milligram of it fixing the damn mess his grey gloomy country has made for America…while he holds out his hand.

This Parnas mug will be on TeeVee tonight. Don’t believe a single exculpatory word he utters. If Maddow has the courage her first question to this piece of shit should be…“how dare you”.

David Korn is too. He says we’ll hear when and where Parnas and Hyde hooked up…

But explain the involvement of members of the US government. Explain the lack of investigation when attacks against our Ambassador were responded to with just spiriting her out of the country and relieving her of her position. How did this get so out of control and no one was watching?

This isn’t a whistleblower this time. This is hard evidence. I’m still debating its authenticity because we’ve seen repeatedly how people take Trump’s twitter and manufacture stuff in fun. What if this is manufactured and it’s meant as a distraction and deterrent to the impeachment process? We get all hepped up about this only to find out it’s all lies.

This is honestly my worst fear in all of this. He wins because it’s all concocted with not a grain of truth behind it and we get played again.

I want this guy under oath with the spectre of a long prison term for lying under oath to Congress staring him in the face. Rachel’s wonderful, but she’s the wrong venue for this.

ETA: and we’ve already been told there’s more to this, that this was only a portion of the information to be released. Tip of the iceberg.

I’m not talking about the American scum in on this. It’s their turf and if they want to shit on it I guess they can drop their pants. It is NOT Parnas’s turf and he should be packed away for 50 years for the dump he’s taken on America.

There’s no such thing as a distraction from the impeachment process. That’s a media fantasy and the work of tired journo’s that rely on canards and past practices to get by. I think if you read Josh’s layout of these players it’s plain to see what they were up to. Currying American favor from some Americans by crapping on other Americans. Detritus like Parnas and Shitzenko have no right to help take down a valiant American because she was in the way of their Eastern European bullshit. I hope they are punished without mercy.

All of the perpetrators, be they American or not, should hang, if even half of this stuff is true.
