Dick Durbin (D-IL)’s opening remarks obtained by TPM, the ranking member will ask Bondi whether she would “tell President Trump ‘No’ if you are faced with a choice between your oath to the Constitution and your loyalty to Mr. Trump.” He plans to also emphasize that Trump campaigned on threats to prosecute “reporters, prosecutors, judges, poll workers, military officials, and even his own former political appointees.”

Per my son, one of Hegseth’s Operational Effectiveness Reports from his days in the National Guard was leaked. It apparently said, “This officer shows up in the right place, at the right time, wearing the proper uniform.” In my world, that would translate to, “This asshat does the minimum expected, but does it correctly,” and I gave my son that interpretation.
“Oh. No, Dad. That’s evaluating officer-speak for, ‘I really want to gut this fish, but I don’t have the file that will allow me to gut it.’” He then added, “I’m not surprised the evaluating officer didn’t have his shit in a pile, because…well…it is the National Guard, and local politics gets involved.”

It’s generally known that the intent for the new DOJ is to relentlessly go after the President-Elect’s enemies in much the same way as they did Hunter Biden. They will make up things as they go along and relentlessly drum them in to the general discussion so that their lies become the truth.
It will be real interesting to see what happens the moment they begin jailing their enemies, which is part of the narrative. This starts with Joe and works its way all through the current administration and the State and Federal judges and prosecutors and staff that had anything to do with the failed cause of holding the President-Elect accountable.
Bondi is key to this effort. She will be confirmed. Beginning next Tuesday, the purge begins.
