Pam Bondi Let's Acting Officials Do All Her Dirty Work

As a long time wordsmith, writer, editor and proof-reader of dry professional literature, I can attest that the stickiest errors are in headings. For some reason, multiple readers, including me, will miss errors in headings and headlines.

Much was written pre-inaugural about all the checks & balances Trump would encounter when attempting to run roughshod over the government. Of course there are now many cases before judges alleging he’s overreached and violated various laws. Yet thousands are out of jobs and a great deal of money Congress appropriated for many purposes is frozen, the beneficiaries deprived of a helluva lot of needed goods and service they depend upon. Along with the many U.S. businesses shut out of sales to the government for these services, farmers especially.
These alleged checks & balances are akin to the woman granted a restraining order against a violent husband. On paper she’s gained a purported extra level of protection. But the paper is worthless, as evidenced by the fact he still kicked down the front door and killed her.
The Constitution and our laws are nothing but restraining orders. And apparently if a President chooses to ignore them he can still just kick down the front door and commit all the mayhem he/she pleases. He wasn’t actually barred from doing anything, just strongly advised not to. And while the courts sort it all out the mayhem continues apace.

It only cost Donnie Two Poops $25k to get a lapdog Attorney General to do his bidding.

That’s pretty damn cheap in this day and age. But pretty soon it won’t get you a gallon of gas AND a dozen eggs.

Well, Yeah, Bondi is too much of a dumbfuck to realize she has been set up to take the fall (as it were) for all the sleaze carried out by her actual boss, Emissions Bovine.

They’re ALL fucked up. We have a whole administration of people with no empathy or moral compasses. I imagine the white christian supremacist stuff is a bonus.

HWMNBN has never forgiven Zelensky for not manufacturing evidence against Biden in the first place. That degree of vengefulness is beyond imagination, or at least beyond mine. I think he only ran for president in the first place because Obama mocked him at the dinner.
No shade on Obama; I don’t think anyone realized the degree of obsession.

Bondi’s actions create “implausible deniability.”

I’ll give the Felon in Chief this; he has a set of big brass balls. Calls Zelensky a “dictator” and accuses him of starting the invasion? Please. Make. It. Stop. The man is clearly out of his mind; at this point, I long for a “President Vance.” Not that I expect him to be any less of a pawn for Leonard Leo and the billionaires. At least he can speak a coherent sentence. He is an idiot, but there you go. Maybe they will have the guts to impeach and remove him.

Same. Thought about that as soon as tcf let loose with his insults. He’s a stupid man, but he remembers every slight (or perceived slight).

Bove appeared by himself because any of the other lawyers involved would have been more candid and forthcoming with Judge Ho.

Why do I keep reading all of this and listening to podcasts and watching MSNBC? I am pretty sure it is destroying the joy in my life.

I get why people just tune it all out.

Most people don’t analyze situations by taking into account the worst case scenario, but regress to something between best case and neutral. One is best advised to embrace the possibility and probability of the unthinkable and not rely upon stereotypical assumptions.

Just think, there are people left to be confirmed that will eventually do things that top whatever has happened to date. Once Patel is confirmed his reign of terror will make whatever Zinke or Zeldin or Bondi are doing look like child’s play.

The most distressing and accurate thing I’ve read since Jan 20. Very perceptive.

Trump hasn’t changed in 50 years. He was railing about the Panama Canal when Carter first gave it back to the Panamanians, and he has been obsessed with Greenland for years. He has been obsessed with tariffs for years but has never actually understood what they are. If you look at his current administration as that of an old man rapidly getting more demented every day who is acting out on all of his revenge fantasies against anything and everyone that he ever thought “dissed” him, including people who fought against COVID, it starts to make sense in the way that old man yelling at clouds makes sense. There is nothing unexpected coming from Trump. The sole difference between this and the first debacle is the competence and evil of the people he is surrounded by now. Just like he tried to erase Obama from the history books by cancelling or withdrawing from anything linked to Obama (ACA, Paris Climate Accords) he has continued that and it now includes everything Biden ever did. I think his pettiness and seething hatred are, unbelievably, actually worse than most of us realize. He is truly the spiritual son of Roy Cohn without a trace of the intellect.
It can only get worse from here.
