So when the president wants to do something, even refuted rumors are good enough to serve as a basis for action, but when he doesn’t want to do something, the information has to be vetted by the subjects before he’ll look at it. Gotcha.

The issue here isn’t formally limited to what we can absolutely be sure that Trump knew or didn’t know. The key issue has to do with what a fundamentally competent and minimally conscientious President would pay attention to, and insist on being informed about.
By any standard, Trump failed to do his job and, as many of us suspect, may well have been Vladimir Putin’s tool.
Fantasy has never been so thrilling…if he didn’t know,he’s far more dangerous than originally surmised…
