Election Day is nearly upon us. Everyone is on edge as we await the results. But President Trump is continuing his efforts to interfere with the legitimacy of the process, insisting that America must know the winner by the end of the night on Tuesday. States always take days to count every ballot. There’s nothing unusual about that.
We need a president who actually listens to experts like Dr. Fauci.

I was in the car coming back from (radiation- one more day!), and a Trump ad came on. It featured people who were giving reasons for supporting him, like he’s a businessman and he’ll know how to handle the economy. At the end Trump said, “I’m Donald J Trump, candidate for President, and I approve this message.”
I laughed. I’m pretty sure they’re recycling ads from the 2016 campaign. Hahahahaha!
My husband asked why they didn’t make new ones. No money and nothing to brag about that most of us can support.

This man trades in it…and judging by some of our posts, I can understand why.
You don’t save a Republic by annoncing defeat before even voting.
We are fairly intellectual on this site. We can willy nilly announce “We’re Doomed. Trump’s Lawyers will get us and if that doesn’t happen, then the Barrett SCOTUS will”.
We can do that and then, quite naturally, go out to vote and pull the lever for Joe. But not every person is a sage, guru, intellect or whatever we wish to call ourselves. Some people need to believe that their vote WILL count.
And Doom and Gloom ain’t gonna do it the Day Before The Vote.

It seems Narcissus died of thirst and starvation, but ended up as a flower, the kind which includes daffodils.

Trump isn’t closing. He’s abandoning any pretext of honoring the states’ authority to manage their elections. This won’t be over for weeks.
This is America. Why are we inflicted with a thug as President and a national party that believes voter suppression and intimidation are OK?
