Where Democratic senators stand on changing or eliminating the filibuster

Parentheses would work (just as well).
Didn’t know you were in Taos, Tena. My old stomping grounds. Both my sisters’ kids were born there, well Carson, actually. Back in the woods of course. Loved skiing there back in my younger days when my knees could still handle the bumps.

You’re just hyphenventilating.
I’m there part of the time - about 5, 6 months a year. I bought a little casa there in '07. I’d move there but my husband really likes the warm winters in Dallas.
I really do feel like I belong in Taos, finally - I left a kidney there when we left there last month. hahahahaha I had surgery at Holy Cross.

Like Boy George… he’s a Comma Chameleon

I forgot about that, hope you are well tena
Be weary of those small hospitals, Tena! I’ve been suing them for 25 years now. Both my sisters’ kids were born at home, back on the edge of the Carson national forest. Not something I or my wife would do, but my sister is, well, different. I hadn’t been then in a while, but I drove through there a couple years ago with my sister and was surprised at how many odd looking structures there were out in the valley near the gorge. But still beautiful!
Thanks for calling this out. It’s an important distinction.
If Manchin and Sinema may be ‘on record’ but they are not the only Democrats resisting filibuster reform at some level or other so better not to imply otherwise I would think.
Manchin is probably the only one who benefits by that though so it would be interesting to see what the roaches do if he reversed and, figuratively, switched the light on.
First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist
Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist
Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist
Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me
—Martin Niemöller
The thing that really hurts me, and seeing much much of it these days, is looking into the sad eyes of a recipient of hate like this. Look at Omar’s eyes in this photo and tell me you can’t feel that pain. How have we Americans become so numb to inflicted pain like this? How have so many Americans felt okay to communicate hate like this? (Hateful decals pasted to the tail of F350 Ford Pickup?, Really?) I know part of the answer is extremely poor leadership from the likes of Boebert, MTG, Trump, etc. They aren’t who they like to say they are or whom they’d like us to think they are.
Then they came for me And there was no one left To speak out for me

If you read Niemöller’s screed you’ll note he didn’t include Muslims. We have to hew to original intent here. They don’t get included in any pleas for kindness and humanity.
Sheesh, read the manual.
By an extensive and prolonged ‘othering’ from the con media circus.
If you read Niemöller’s screed
If your point is Niemöller’s prose is inappropriate here, that I can somewhat understand. Niemöller’s prose was not exactly a screed; it was a plead of guilty, a mea culpa, after having survived Dachau.
These Republican women didn’t get elected to Congress to “work on the challenges facing the American people.” They think this is a game, like back in high School.
Boebert never graduated high school.
And took 3 tries to even get a GED. Let that sink in.
So it makes sense. She’s making up for lost time.
Is that really true, or are you making that up?
Here’s a head count. Manchin and Sinema are the only two opposed. Didn’t mean to piss anyone off. Just want to focus the pressure where it belongs.
