On the other hand, Springfield McDonalds is begging Trump to come, and Haitian immigrants have invited him for a barbecue. BYO Pet.

Ohio Republican Leaders Gently Beg Trump To Please Not Visit Springfield

Trump: Shit! Now I have to visit that shithole, that was going to vote for me anyways, and had no intention of going. But I need to show those wimpy RINOs what dominance is.

If they can turn him into a zombie, much better.

DeWine is not some warm, moderate old school Mr. Magoo Republican. He’s a deeply corrupt, mean son of a bitch who betrayed public health during the pandemic and his administration is neck deep in this garbage https://ohiocapitaljournal.com/2024/06/20/new-texts-show-firstenergy-allegedly-working-with-gov-dewine-to-pass-house-bill-6/ and here he earns his DeSpineless card although it’s better than the nothing the MAGAt leaders of the party would prefer. Oh, and he also thinks our extreme gerrymandering is just fine and his son on the Supreme Court does too :man_facepalming:t2:

I wish the Trump campaign were actually nervous about losing Ohio, but my theory is they’re really after activating their MAGAt base with this pogrom in the making to somehow eke out a victory for Morono and unseat Senator Sherrod Brown.

My predictions:

  1. Trump and Vance will hold an event (or separate events) in Springfield.
  2. This will trigger violence, or credible threats of violence.
  3. Trump and mini-me will blame it on Democrats and the Haitians.
  4. They will fail to reimburse the city for its costs in protecting them and responding to the violence.
  5. Someone will die.

Polite pleading. We are long past that. Their infatuation with him is ridiculous. The man is a danger to the country.

I keep hoping someone with a platform will make the connection that Springfield, OH is a dry run for election day. The proof of concept. The Hiroshima.

What JD Vance gaffed in epic fashion, is frankly nothing remotely new. Republicans have ALWAYS been the party of creating stories! Nixon had the war on drugs. Reagan had the welfare queen driving a Cadillac. H had Willie Horton. W. had the Swift Boat Liars for Bush. McCain had Joe the Plumber; Palin could see Russia from her backyard; Romney had the makers and takers. Rump had her emails!

What’s different is the weaponization of storytelling to incite a fascist mob to paralyze a whole city. This will happen everywhere the count doesn’t go JD Rump’s way. They will create a story and the lives and functioning of the whole city will be disrupted by fascists, white supremacists, christian nationalists and dudes who look like theior tactical vest needed a seatbelt extender.

Not surprising. Looks like back to square one and bringing in votes from Democrats.

Let me know when you have a winning game plan and a set of rules that will work successfully and that people will support wholeheartedly.

Not on any horizon right now. But good luck. And that’s not sarcasm. BTW, bring some money with you. Lots of it.

I’d like to find out what Iran found out too.
