Odd bird this Christopher Krebs fellow:
Little bastard is 13 years younger than me and that makes me want to smack him upside his purty little head. But…if he really does have some sort of come to Jesus moment and helps the situation, so be it.

This isn’t merely retribution, although that too. This is part of something bigger, what Trump imagines is his last line of defense to remain in power and avoid legal scrutiny. Between firing Esper, the person in charge nuclear safety and other high-level defense and national security officials, which Krebs was, I think that Trump is trying to either pull something off, allow something to happen, or encourage something to happen, that he believes might be his ace in the hole. I fully expect some national security type of event between now and the inaugural, or at least an attempt at one. If it happens by early January, and Dems win those 2 GA senate seats, they have to impeach him in the house immediately and then hold a quick trial in the senate, and convince at least 7 Repubs to vote to convict, so he can’t be pardoned and Biden’s DoJ can tear him 250k new assholes.
He was an appointee – Senate confirmed. Trump can’t just fire career civil servants on a whim.
Born days after Carter was sworn in and at the dawn of the modern computer age. Fitting.
If you’re talking about Krebs, he was BORN the year the first Star Wars came out.
Yeah, I know, re-runs, video rental and cable…but still…let that sink in!
I find your lack of faith in Star Wars to be disturbing, but I’ll spare you the force choke–this time. Pray I don’t alter the deal.
As for Trump, absolutely disintegration!
I am hoping that Joe can find a place for Christopher Krebs in his administration. Perhaps in Cyber-Security. It appears that he has a decent resume and honor. It would also be a sign to others…true Conservatives, not the current shills…that there is a harbor in this political shit-storm.
Thank you for your honorable service, Christopher Krebs.
You mean being reinstated? I’m ok with that.
It’s the slogan, catchphrase…mantra of the Mandalorians. A new Star Wars TV series is based on this warrior civilization.
Sneed and Richards fighting over this story?
ZELDA!
In 1975, at age 34, after being denied admission into UCLA, Kuehl was accepted at Harvard Law School
… my … that must have been amazingly vindicating!
Thanks for the info.
Wow, it makes you wonder how an honest guy ever got appointed. But the same applies: anyone taking a federal paycheck, appointee or civil servant, should have the Constitution and the public interest as their guide, not partisan maneuvering.
Dobie’s Dad was so proud of “being in the Big One: WWII”
Chertoff has been a weasel in the past.
does anyone know if the recent Trump EO on governmental employment made this possible?
Or was Krebs somehow technically classified as a “political appointee”
I agree. Krebs is taking it to crybaby fat man. Notice even more Republicans are starting to realize this is a bad look, a losing hand. Trump is smoldering.
I was a teenager in the crazy summer of 1977, (Son of Sam, Elvis dead, blackout etc.) was when Star Wars was released. Some friends of mine were itching to see it but I passed thinking that it would end up a couple of years later on the ABC movie of the week. My film tastes then that were in the theaters ran from Taxi Driver, Network, Slap Shot and Annie Hall as well as what the pre cable networks were running. Besides I thought the original Star Trek they would rerun late on Sunday nights was just cooler and more relevant. I finally caught up with it in the early or mid 80’s.
And in good company.
I went with a friend the first night Star Wars opened.
We sat there slack-jawed by the humor and special effects.
And we went back again the next night.
What I loved about it—and the Indiana Jones movies—was the use of the format of a Saturday movie serial from the 30s or 40s with all 13 episodes strung together to make a whole film.
Pure escapism and fun.
