The ONLY reason he will attend is if he thinks it a) benefits him financially and b) to have that last shot of he and Melania leaving for Mar-a-Lago…

He will only attend if he can think of a way to make it be about him. He hasn’t seen enough inaugurations to realize that the outgoing POTUS is just stage decoration during the event. I can only imagine him sitting there, arms crossed, glowering, accompanied by Melania, who will be checking her watch to see how long before she can hit the road.

I have to wonder if she’ll still be around. The only reason to stay is if she is needed to make an appearance at the inauguration. I expect that she’ll be in Mar a Lago, consulting with her divorce attorney.

Trump is already planning to disrupt the inauguration of Joe Biden, either by declaring his run in 2024 or holding some sort of event outside the inauguration ceremony. He’s said as much. I don’t think he’d actually show up because it’s not about him but he WILL try to steal the spotlight. He always does.
