The White House has confirmed to TPM that President Obama will visit New Orleans on Friday to assess the Gulf Coast oil spill.Obama will review efforts to counter the catastrophic leak still gushing oil into the Gulf of Mexico. The Obamas still plan to vacation in Chicago over Memorial Day weekend. The AP reports that the family will travel to Chicago Thursday, and the President will travel from Chicago to Louisiana and back on Friday.
