President Obama spoke with Florida Gov. Rick Scott on Sunday and offered assistance in dealing with Tropical Storm Isaac, the White House announced Sunday. The call followed a briefing with the president on the preparations being made to deal with the approaching storm. Obama mentioned the importance of the safety of visitors to the Republican National Convention in Tampa on his call with Scott.
