I see nothing wrong with this. I requested a blanket pardon from the former guy for any wrongdoing I may have engaged in during my college years. Not that I did anything wrong!

Thereās nothing wrong with it as a thought: itās a statement of fact. I saw it happen plenty of times when I was a professor. Itās why I had an open-door policy during office hours. Even that didnāt discourage all of it, and I played dumb about it unless forced to acknowledge it.

Itās perfectly possible, and I think even likely, that the whole story is a fabrication, an attempt to RetCon Trumpās support of Gaetz, to distance himself from the stench of this particular scandal.
If Gaetz says he didnāt seek a pardon, and Trump says he didā¦ why would any sane person believe either of them?
