Honestly, what are they waiting for? How much more fucking obvious does it need to be before you press charges? Good God, stop wasting time and charge that motherfucker!
Oh, and ditto Lindsey Graham ( tho that convo wasn’t recorded so far as we know, so MAYBE it’ll take longer to make that case).
I think the more relevant question is how many times Trump has done something like this. We know of two, Ukraine and this, and it is very unlikely that these are the only two times where Trump tried to use some kind of back room pressuring to get what he wanted. Odds are there has been a lot of this in the past two months, but it’s likely that this has been happening a lot. Can you just imagine how many federal employees or appointees have received this treatment? And, his political operatives are very likely doing the same thing…threatening people at Commerce over the Census, scientists through the government, and so on.
We really need an accounting of all of this behavior, so we understand just how the Trump administration operated and how they used these tactics and where. We may not get the entire story for a while, but there’s a tremendous potential for damage to the US from this kind of things happening, even more than the public stuff…the US acting like a bully is a real problem for other nations, and they aren’t going to trust us not to elect another asshole who is actually competent, at least not until we put good people in office for a while.
And that’s with two lawyers sitting next to him coaxing him on using language that supposedly didn’t cross any legal lines.
Alex B. Kaufman, and Cleta Mitchell both were advising him during the call.
Atlanta doesn’t have the only prosecutor looking to charge Donald Trump. Does anyone else think that Letitia James should just contact the Secret Service directly and have them deliver Trump to New York on January 20 to be placed in protective custody* While he awaits indictment??? I mean, seriously, this guy is a ridiculous flight risk. He owns a plane for crying out loud!
when I say ‘protective custody’, I mean it’s the country that needs protecting from him.
