Hoarding? There’s a story about how 2 brothers in TN were forced to donate their 17,000 bottles of hand sanitizer because they weren’t allowed to resell them for a profit in this time of a national emergency.

Cable channels do not have a “broadcasting” license. Cable is pay tv. Each viewer “chooses” to pay for the channels, even though they are bundled. A license is granted by the government to a local station to “broadcast” via the publicly owned airwaves.
Also be aware the talking heads on prime time cable “news” outlets where there is a “star” host are instructed in advance as to the direction and tone of the interview. The goal is to deliver a specific set of outcomes AND make the host look intelligent and prophetic.
Some are less of a “show” than others, and some nights more news oriented. All of them are designed to attract advertisers and FOX is the worst.
News operations used to be separate from AD sales. There is still some separation on network news but cable news is Rating/AD driven.
FOX prime time is not news. It is purely opinion.

We need to update our media laws in general. All of them including online entities. Don’t ask me how, but Facebook isn’t a news service but gets away with pretending they can just post shit posing as news and not be held accountable. That’s got to change too. We need some kind of overhaul. We are not keeping up with technology but heck, we haven’t even kept up with cable broadcasting and that’s been around for a lot longer.

here is something off topic…DISNEY WORLD, here in Florida is shut down…however, they are donating all the food-stuff their restaurants have on hand, to local food banks…so in the midst of all the depressing news, there is some good stuff happening out there.
