Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) characterized California’s homeless population, which is highly vulnerable to contracting the coronavirus, as a “zombie apocalypse” during an interview on Fox News Sunday morning.
OT but a good counterpoint to the incompetence, fecklessness and irresponsibility of TrumPublicans like Nunes, but it looks like China is already figuring out how to safely get back to work in the ‘new’ era; https://www.economist.com/china/2020/03/26/china-goes-back-to-work
Maybe it’s just me, but if I were a Congressman who was truly interested in the welfare of my constituents who are homeless, I wouldn’t just wash my hands, as it were, of “several thousand of them just in my district,” I’d be spending less time suing people tweeting stuff about me or running clandestine operations on behalf of the president and more time addressing via legislation the root causes of homelessness.
But then again, maybe zombies take on myriad forms. Maybe some of them sue people tweeting stuff about them and run clandestine operations on behalf of the president and don suits and ties and appear on Fox News Sunday to wash their hands of several thousand of their constituents.
“You’ve seen the pictures,” Nunes said, referring to Fox News featuring images of the homeless population in Los Angeles and San Francisco. “I’ve got several thousand just in my district.”
I think by definition a zombie is a evil soul without brains who wants to take everything you have and make you suffer just because he can. So does the shoe fit Nunes?
