An examination of the cockpit voice recorder shows that a crew member called to increase speed seven seconds prior to impact and called for a”go-around,”or to apply power and go around and land at another spot, at 1.5 seconds before landing, National Transportation Safety Board Chairman Deborah Hersman told reporters at a press conference Sunday.
