I will be shocked if their no-debate policy doesn’t backfire spectacularly. If Joe is running ahead after Labor Day, their candidate is going to be begging to debate. All they’re doing is handcuffing their nominee and making a liar out of them when they’re inevitably forced to go back on their word. When they do break their agreement that’ll open them up to a whole new line of attack about refusing to stand by their pledge.

The only question I have is will the Dems have enough smarts and sangfroid to mercilessly beat up Mango Mussolini or any of the other GQP stuffed shirts for chickening out? Those ads practically will run themselves. And they need to be loud, and be first, and frequent. (Not holding my breath.)

I’d be pretty certain she’s focused on winning the Arkansas Governor’s seat, based only on her name and no substance.
So if she’s staying out of the public eye and not opening her mouth, she’s on brand.

Yes it’s incredible. True story. Once upon a time I was a Coast Guard search and rescue helicopter crewman in Alaska. Picture two guys in about a 40’ boat with no power in driving rain with 50 mph winds being bashed against the rocks in a small cove. We arrive overhead and see flotsam and debris from their vessel washing about everywhere. Fortunately they have not broken apart yet, and their radio still worked. We communicate instructions and lower the basket. Instead of one or the other yahoo getting in the basket they placed their rifles in and instructed us to rescue those first. We did so reluctantly to speed up the rescue since they would not listen. In the end all were safe, but their idiocy also endangered us given the conditions and location. This was in 1979.

That’s it exactly. They’ll propose something ridiculous, claiming that everything else is “rigged,” and then taunt the Democrat for not wanting to show up for a Tucker Carlson-led “debate.”
