And then watch nobody but protesters show up for it
The “Show of a Lifetime”, at least for me, would be watching Trump’s perp-walk into a prison cell. Unlikely, but one can only hope.
How I wish Smokey the Bear was a real grizzly bear that would disembowel Donald for what he’s doing to national parks heritage.
I usually make it a point to visit a national park each year or two while on vacation. They’re usually well maintained but a bit stressed out with a maintenance backlog partially due to their popularity and lack of congressional will. Now when I visit them they will be a bit more worn because Trump decided to throw a party for him and his donors.
but the White House said Tuesday that the event “will not be political.”
I’ll believe that only after it’s over and trump hasn’t based Hillary, Dems, or the non-racist, non-insane population of this country (i.e. "the left).
I heard there might be a sizable protest group attending this sad-sack celebration. That would be wonderful and an appropriately American response to this shit!
Whoops, the cost of the Charade, I mean Parade, has gone up a tad…
It’s Bernhardt. Subpoena the Interior Department.
I’m doubtful that the cost will only be $2.5million.
Yep. No question.
Just for a moment, let’s reflect on this pile of horse manure: The Current Occupant has corralled military services, national park services, countless federal workers and a host of other feckless toadies who orbit him constantly into backing this second-rate production of a tincan display of jingoism, all to satisfy his enormous appetite for self-aggrandizement. And we, the people, can do f**ck all about it except foot the bill with tax money. The voters who brought us this nightmare ought to feel ashamed. Really ashamed.
I love a charade.
“On top of the [unprecedented chaos”
Dear Ms. Lafond - I enjoy your articles, but this chaos is hardly ‘unprecedented’ in this administration.
Our PBS station is running a series on the dire predicament of the Great Smoky Mountains Parks.
If you include all of the other agencies involved (Defense, the City of Washington DC, DHS, etc) we’re probably already past $10 million.
Trumpsters. As in, I threw my leaky wag bag into the trumpster. This makes a lot of sense.
just as the concentration camp inspired containers for children at the border should and must be called TRUMP CAGES
