What’s worse than the markets naively following Trump’s words is that the President is actively manipulating the markets for the benefit of his inner circle by issuing carefully timed and utterly fictitious proclamations.

I suggest that, were ICE operating under normal standards and not acting like a bunch of thugs on steroids, the level of concern about them being at the polls would be a good bit lower.
These are the same people who kidnapped folks that looked like they didn’t belong here and continued to kidnap them after the presentation of valid information, after the courts said no.
These ICEholes have no credibility as to their actual mission vs. the way their mission is actually laid out. When credibility wanes, so does anyone thinking they need to be anywhere near the polls or regular human beings.

"Whoever, being an officer of the Army or Navy, or other person in the civil, military, or naval service of the United States, orders, brings, keeps, or has under his authority or control any troops or armed men at any place where a general or special election is held, unless such force be necessary to repel armed enemies of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both; and be disqualified from holding any office of honor, profit, or trust under the United States.
This section shall not prevent any officer or member of the armed forces of the United States from exercising the right of suffrage in any election district to which he may belong, if otherwise qualified according to the laws of the State in which he offers to vote."

Here’s the thing about the markets - all of them. They are dominated by Republicans with big wads of cash. They are not looking at Trump or the whole situation objectively, or even, seriously - they are acting on hope and rumor.
Case in point, 2025 saw ZERO job growth - none - in anything but health care. Further the US GDP has nose-dived from the day Trump took office, while every other country in the western world has prospered - until Trump’s fucking “excursion” into Iran. WHY IS THAT ?
It is simple and you don’t need an MBA to figure this out - the USA elected a FUCKING MORON to the most important job in the world - TWICE. You wouldn’t let this bozo baby sit your kids or grandkids, and you wouldn’t let him manage your money, (reminder he went bankrupt six times and left the banks holding the bag), BUT you elected him President without realizing that THIS job allows his mistakes to easily make you POOR and make your kids DEAD with ANY simple decision, - ANY of them.
Anyone who voted for this fucking moron is getting what they deserve. The stable geniuses on Wall Street are in complete denial, because most of them voted for Trump. That is why the S&P 500 is only down a few precent when, realistically, with inflation headed to over 5% and our 2026 GDP head toward zero, or worse, the S&P should rightly be down to 5000 or lower. I suspect it will get there, eventually, because NOBODY in the GOP has the cajones to FIRE this loser before he burns the whole house down.

Hubby says, after the guy croaks, these will become real collectors’ items since only a limited number of them will be made. Not that I intend to handle a single one - I’ve gone almost entirely cashless anyway.

Phase 3.1: People show up and vote in droves, as they have already been doing in off year elections, heaping ridicule on the fat fucks standing around in camo eating donuts and Subway italians, and picking their noses. Activists and poll watchers isolate ICE and keep them back from polling places at the distances required by law in all 50 states. People who are too timorous, and people with real reason to be concerned because of their native language and skin color can stay away and vote absentee. That will still be legal, because even if the “SAVE” act were somehow signed miraculously into law tomorrow, it would not clear the courts and myriad constitutional challenges until sometime well into 2027.

That lie needs to be exposed and excoriated by everyone at every opportunity. In person, on TV, in interviews, podcasts, social media. Hammer it! Ridicule the dumb fucks who repeat the lie. Ask them for examples of illegals voting, then bury them in stats. The messaging has to be unified with everyone on the same page who cares about our democracy.
