Thank you. I’m not freaking out or anything yet, but having just become eligible for Medicare, my age when it comes to COVID is suboptimal! But I’m pretty healthy overall. At least I have that going for me.

I have a friend that age who was infected, and had substantial comorbitities, and she came through fine. I think they have perhaps made too much of the age issue, or at least approached it in the wrong way by leaving out the very consequential fact that they mix in nursing home deaths with deaths among the senior population generally when they discuss this demographic.
This is misleading – which is not to say that age is not a risk factor, but the risk factor they present it as is, I think, not quite accurate. The nature of the population that lives in nursing homes makes them exceedingly high risk, and I think the failure to differentiate that population’s risk from the general 60+ population has been something of disservice in that it has exponentially increased the fear factor in many many people.

Were he to win, he’d dump the focus on the vaccines and start issuing executive orders demanding that everything reopen because he survived it and therefor the virus isn’t a big deal. The people who died? Not his problem. Only winners, as Trump defines them, count. And that sure ain’t me and you.

The vaccine money is a scam anyway. The vaccines that require liquid nitrogen to distribute will fail in trials simply because they have not been shown to work in any other disease. Forget the vaccine, stay safe to be healthy. When the vaccine arrives the usual medical channels can handle them.
I think he just wants to kill people. If he loses the election, and I’m incredibly cautiously optimistaclly hopeful he does, he’s going to try to burn down the Reichstag and declare himself god emperor, and think feigning mental illness will work just like bone spurs to get him out of trouble.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he talks Putin into launching some sort of attack against American forces so Trump can retaliate and declare martial law and proclaim himself the First American Overlord or something.

Trump is going all in on his belief that the Supreme Court will annoint him president. When he loses and doesn’t get the outcome he’s expecting from the court, he will simply stop doing anything even related to his office. His attitude will be, “They didn’t want me, so they can forget about me lifting a finger to help them.” Forget about an orderly transition - the only work that will get done in the lame duck period will be the wholesale destruction of any evidence of his criminality.

President Trump’s decision to blow up talks over a relief package will deprive the COVID-19 vaccine distribution effort of billions of dollars in needed funds.
I thought Trump was going to use the military to distribute the vaccine. They have a shitload of money because Trump has started any wars. Yet.

yep, they expect to be in power for the next 12 years and will kill off, bury, destroy, anything and everything to the last breath to stay in power.
once the Supreme court is sealed up and the country falls further into decline, the only way out is revolution, a real bloody one.
of course, if everybody just votes as if there life depends on it and blows a huge blue wave across the country that can’t be countered by the fascists’, we win and not one drop of blood spilled. The ideas of the gop could be buried for 30 years if just this one time the population take that moment and VOTE. The country has 28 days to make there minds up.

I’m thinking about putting in an IV with Normal Saline and sitting in my sauna until all the Trump Toxins have sweated out and soared to the limitless ether, to roam willy nilly, unleashed, unfettered, and unbound. Or as Krazy Kat would say “just imegine having your ectospasm running around, William and Nilliam, among the unlimitless etha, golla, it’s imbillivible.” (H/T George Herriman.) Thank you. It’s hard not to be on edge these days when you feel under the weather. To add insult to paranoia, I just got home to discover that one of my dogs puked on the family room rug. It’s always something!
