‘No Labels’ Staffers Angered By Firm’s Hiring Of Accused Sexual Harasser Mark Halperin

Sorry - I didn’t see it. Scrolled but I missed it.

So when do they change their name from “No Labels” to “No Scruples”?

Big fan of Rose…and of course Julia.

The key is to buy (or grow) heirloom varieties instead of the ones bred for supermarkets—they don’t bruise easily and taste like red cardboard.
I’m growing some Cherokee purple and some Sungold cherry tomatoes. Sungold isn’t heirloom, but a hybrid developed specifically for flavor.

“We hired a sexual deviant to save money!”? Seems like it’s maybe not a nice place to work…

He’s not a sexual deviant. He’s just proud of his toy and he wants to show it off so that other people can appreciate it, too.

Totally normal behavior in the workplace.

Plenty of non-sexual assaulters with more relevant and less biased political knowledge than this right-winger they could have hired. So much for “no labels”, they can now own Halperin’s reputation as their own.

From the start I’ve thought of No Labels as the sort of libertarian hacks who assure us that unregulated capitalism will make unions unnecessary by lifting all boats, and we should not talk about race and class because those issues are only used to “divide” us.

A women CEO hires a known sexaul harasser because he is cheaper. I want to hear no complaints when she gets her ass grabbed.

He was in the irregulars bin at the unemployment agency.

Not sure about this.

If he were to behave atrociously (again), it’s still his fault.

One could argue that she should not have hired him, but that’s slightly different, isn’t it, from saying she should have no recourse?

JFC - seeing those two mugs up close and WAY too big made me spit out my drink. Much too early (or late) to see them

Label them them “bad optics.” Or “tone deaf” might also fit.

When you’re going to make a move like this, you involve current employees in the decision, seek their input, etc. Very bad to tell them after the fact.

I predict No Labels will need a re-label, and new directors.

Halperin in his prime made Chris Cilizza look like Max Weber.

I want to know why is it so important that this sleazy sexist ass fool to have a job with the media? He’s a criminal and should be brought up on charges for his unprofessional sexist conduct!

The thing with all bullies is that they never grab up.

How liable will No Labels be for Halperin’s inevitable bad actions? They know what he is.

He’s a middle-aged white guy who used to be famous. So of course he deserves a high-paying job in addition to the one he has already.

Other people who didn’t use to be famous or aren’t white men, heck, they don’t deserve a job at all.
