This MAGA obsession with “domination” is getting weird. It started with this “domination is freedom” techbro slogan, and now is everywhere. Eg. Kudlow yesterday:
Kudlow does tricks on that thing: "Donald Trump is the most dominant figure on the world stage. Far greater than anybody else in decades. It’s not Putin. It’s not Xi Jinping. It’s Trump. Trump holds the cards in his hands and he knows how to plan them. That’s what’s happening here … he is utterly dominant."
Domination is not freedom, it is its antithesis. This debate stretches back to Plato. Perhaps the American public is being tested to determine just how much their credulity can be pushed. The reverse side of the domination coin is submission, and that seems to be what the White House is going for, consensual submission of the populace. Of course, if you are not a consenting party, such behavior just looks dangerous, stupid or weird.

Oh, I don’t know that it’s been all that private, but it is definitely in part retaliation for being on the Harris ticket last year. Anyone that opposes him is a target and the assassination attempts were a luck of the draw for the First Felon.

The “polite legal fiction” in this case is that the judge has to rule based only on the facts in evidence and the applicable law. I’m not sure how I feel about telling judges they are free to collect their own facts. There is a special master process that is used if a trial judge feels a need to develop or evaluate facts.
In any case, it’s not clear to me that that is applicable here. What I’ve seen of California’s brief lays out all the facts necessary to tell DonOLD Drumpf that he didn’t tag up after the fly ball was caught. Consequently, he’s out.

Exactly. Kudlow is a sycophant supporter of a failing tyrant. Trump’s “dominance” is not a feature we want our President to have because the President is not sovereign. We The People are sovereign.
We want the nations of the World to follow our example - not our moron President’s bullying. Besides that - the World does not think Kudlow is right because they are all opposing Trump’s rants. Show me ONE example of a country caving to Trump’s moronic insanity - ONE. You can’t.
Case in point - the G7. Word is Trump was dressed down twice - once by Carney on “order” in the discussions, and once by Merz on not allowing war criminals (Putin) back into the G7 party - ever. This is why he left early.
G7 President Carney, in turn, gave Trump’s seat to a leader - Zelensky. Touché !
Trump is leading the US into derision and irrelevance on matters of state - particularly where the West is headed on trade, war and peace. Our trade partners don’t even want compensation in dollars any more because they are worth much less than they were when Trump took office. Shame, Shame, Shame.
